1. Eat light. Its amazing how little we really require to live. Most of the time we eat for emotional comfort, taste, social obligation, entertainment…all the wrong reasons. When we are in a meditative state we literally eat light, or spiritual energy. Most of my students who have come over to attend my full day workshops always felt too full to eat lunch and that’s because of the amazing energy they were channeling. I won’t suggest trying not to eat. Rather I suggest eat when you really need to and this need reduces automatically when you channel higher energy.

2. Eat right. This is what I have finally concluded. Vegetarian food is the best, especially because you don’t have to kill the plant. Eat more fruits including vegetables that are actually fruits such as cucumber, courgettes, bell peppers, brinjals, gourds, there are so many varieties of tasty foods that are meant to be eaten. Plants want to offer us their ripe fruits so we can help in propagating the seeds and plenty of nutrition in these juicy fruits makes them my favourite.

3. Cook less. Healthy, ripe organic fruits and veggies often require little or no cooking. Personally I have never been a fan of cooking because it destroys so much of the nutritients in our food and adds so much unrequired oil, sugar, salt and spice thereby completely spoiling the fruity food which nature has already ripened and served to us all ready to eat with all required things included within.

4. Exercise lightly. High adrenalin pumping, muscle building types who live on protein shakes and meats often look like meat themselves. Its stupid to eat wrong and then spend extra cash and time to lose weight by joining the gym. Walking, completing household chores yourself with less use of automated equipment,  yoga, stretches, simple exercises you can easily perform at home or in the park are sufficient to keep fit and look nice (provided you eat light and right), and they do not cost much time or money.

5. Talk less and softly. Talking exerts us and creates uneccesary stress. Use of intuition is so important in understanding things without much need of words.

6. Think less. Thinking is unrequired when you are channeling pure energy or spiritual wisdom. There is no need to process and twist this higher wisdom mentally. Everything you say or do can simply channel this higher energy without diluting, tweaking, confusing the same. Let your mind be one with the universe, large and open with endless awareness all the time. Smaller minds need to worry and think. The universal mind is forever in peace, relaxed and clear as crystal with doubtless awareness. Meditation is all about achieving that thought free state of pure being.

7. Choose intuitively. Your inner self knows what’s right. It tells you when you need anything, what you need, what you do not need. Choose health always. This means reading only useful information, wearing comfort, spending time wisely, living in the right location, clean surroundings, positive people, right kind of shopping, a career you love and excel in….these things can simply not be found in books…only intuition can guide us perfectly. Sometimes people think they are intuitive when they are actually blocked. Only correct meditation can unblock and allow wisdom to flow, minus all the rubbish.

8. Healthy relationship. I am a big fan of monogamy, loyal mutual love, healthy sexual partnership and marriage. Its all about wholesome and clean auras interacting together, contributing to each others health and happiness, living a better life together. There should be no bondage out of emotional, financial, sexual or any other dependency or insecurity. A real relationship strengthens rather than weakens your individuality. Walk away from negative energy. Accept real love.

9. Find and live your purpose. A lot of depression, misery, disease and helplessness is when you do not know yourself, your spiritual truth, your reason for incarnating on this planet. Know that the universal energy that some call God or Goddess can be manifesting through you. The more you allow this energy to flow through you, the better and more purposeful life gets. Only when blocked to this energy you lose life and fall prey to diseases of mind, body, soul. Again meditation is the answer.

10. Meditation in every moment. Its not something you do for a few minutes. No need to have rigid schedules or complex techniques. You are doing it right when you feel the positive universal energy flowing through you in every moment free of any spiritual, mental, emotional, or any other blockages. Only goodness flows through you always. Health is effortlessly achieved.

11. Spells for every improvement. Some people who think of God or Goddess as an external entity pray. Those who channel infinite energy simply manifest. Its about being your true self. A lot of unhappiness was upon earth when people misunderstood God or Goddess as an external being and stopped learning the right ways to meditate, use intuition, create positive transformation in life. This lack of magick made people feel like victims, helpless, hapless, worried, dependent on external guidance, medicines, convuluted religious dictats and negative sorcery. Thanks to meditation more people are now finding the inner source of health and happiness everyday and aligning with their infinite magical nature.

Who is Guru?
A pundit who makes predictions and performs poojas?
A teacher who gives knowledge to disciples?
A planet called jupiter?

A guru is the true teacher, the higher self. Its that part of us which is timeless wisdom.
When we are ready and willing for spiritual illumination, the guru appears in a form we can relate to. A teacher, a friend, a close companion, a dream, a message, an animal, a book or simply silence. The guru teaches. But only we can learn. The guru cannot do that for us.
No matter how many gurus you have, you may not really learn unless you ALLOW the learning to happen.
This is not bookish knowledge we are talking of.
This requires application of wisdom in life and after.
This means letting go of past conditioning.
This requires focus and practice.
This means you must listen and stop talking…to others, to yourself, and listen to SILENCE.
This requires opening up to your infinite potential.
This requires dedicating yourself to finding your purpose and then to staying true to the same.
This requires character, values, principles.
This requires giving yourself to the higher self without holding on to attachments.
This is being selfless.
This requires you to serve the higher self alone.
This is surrender and receptivity.
This is liberation.
Blessed full moon.

Some people discovered what they thought was meditation…being quiet, passive, closed, sleepy or dull
They spent hours, days and years in this depressing state …imagining it to be the real thing
Escaping from the daily challenges of life, from life itself…wanting to be free
Some others found spirituality to be an excuse for careless, irresponsible or mindless behavior, even unethical in the extreme, Or an excuse to falsely justify negativity as a necessary part of balance and acceptance
They couldn’t be further from the truth
All the above is dullness, ignorance, negative energy or tamas
Spirituality is bright, aware, positive vibration
Its neither about mindlessness or losing your mind
Its about guiding your mind with something higher or ‘no mind’ which helps in being incharge of your mind, rising above it and not letting your mind be your block
Its about having no negative, stuck-up energies any more
Being free and flowing in a positive direction
Guided by the truth, love, universal good or divine light
Truly liberated, free of falsehood
When it becomes impossible for you to harm anyone or yourself
When you can no longer be corrupted or misled
When you are not passive, lethargic, inert or powerless anymore
When you use your power to create good, to destroy ignorance or evil
And to maintain balance and peace, both inner and outer
To utilise your time on earth purposefully
Being of some good use to yourself and the universe
That is sattvic life or spiritual living
Now that is what I call Magick!

So many people speak of being spiritual these days.
Many like being called spiritual, not religious…(as if religion were a four letter word that has done no good…but Gawd, wasn’t this is the way it was experienced until the new age of Wicca, a spiritual scientific religion…but that’s besides the point)

The point is…what is being spiritual all about?
Is it about saffron robes, hooded capes, turbans, hats and other fancy dress?
Is it about being men with long grey hair on their chins and heads and large imposing decorations on the forehead?
Is it about sitting in tight postures and closed eyes for an hour or two?
Is it about chanting in sanskrit, greek or latin, especially in the middle of perfectly ordinary conversations?
(All of which I admit will make quite an instant impression in public and may even get a few to come over and touch your feet…and secretly many of our holy men owe their sudden and humungous popularity more to this drama and less to their teachings)

Now what is the meaning of being spiritual (and not just showing it)?

Firstly the word ‘spiritual’ is composed of spirit, which means it has to do something with our inner self. But in that case we all have this spirit within…right. Quite right, however not everyone was so far equally bothered about the spirit within us all…which largely differentiates being spiritual from being purely material in our awareness and behaviour.

We are born when spirit takes material or physical form through us and our surroundings. Hence from ever since we are born we are taught in our schools, colleges and nurseries, very vaguely, about how to conduct ourselves in the material world (even if focused mainly on theory than practice). Its another thing that we also learn through people and experiences over and above our school curricula, a whole lot of things I would rather put very ironically in the category of how NOT to conduct our life in the material world. But yes most of us are somewhat aware of our material body and surroundings, even if we are not quite adept at handling them very well.

But the fact that we are made of spirit in essence was revealed rather late to most people if revealed at all. And even if this were revealed, the first (or even second or third or fourth) reaction to this was…why should it matter? Yes spirit is not matter, but that doesnt mean that it doesnt matter. The interelationship of spirit and matter is of importance here.

Now Spirit (and I am not talking of our personal spirits or lost spirits but of Spirit) or Goddess or God if you prefer,  has created our matter or material life as quite beautiful and positive. It is through non awareness and mis-understanding of Spirit that we have abused, spoilt or eroded our material world. By getting in touch with the Spirit we can once again restore a loving balance and harmony in our lives and surroundings (and also heal our own little lost spirits or souls which expand and feel complete on integration with the Spirit).

Learn how to get in touch with the Spirit (even if you call it by another name such as Source, Universe, Goddess, God) through the right ways of meditation. And …also equally importantly, learn how to bring the beauty and wisdom of the Spirit into your daily existence by way of energy healing spells that channel the Spirit energy into the material world in accordance with the motto of As Above, So Below, or as Inside so Outside, or as With In so With Out. Deep inside, another world
Where there is only You
Far away, your darkness hides
The brightness of the truth
Go beyond the rainbow light
Way further from the stars
Deep inside, another world
So near and yet so far

Sail right through the stormy seas
Of anger, pain, despair
Find the treasure island where
All is love, true and fair
Find your peace and happiness
Find your inner self
Deep inside, another world
Don’t hide it from yourself

Im grateful for the life I live
For everything is but a gift
The dark of night, the light of day
I would have it no other way
The ups and downs, the lows and highs
The way things change, the way time flies
The lessons and the messages
In each one of the passages
In the book that stays alive
As the journey we call life
Its like a deck of playing cards
That comes together after falling apart
Like a jigsaw piece that fits inside
This picture can be seen in light
A light that shines from deep within
So I played the game to lose and win
I lost my blocks and inhibitions
To all my dreams and inner visions
I gained the truth of who I am
Unlimited by word or name
Infinite worlds, lives and dimensions
I manifest all my creations
All versions of reality
I am every possibility
I succeeded for I failed
I learned to heal because I ailed
Created problems so I could solve
I crystallised and then dissolved
I forgot and then remembered
Every bit that was dismembered
I collected and recollected
All the light that was reflected
To find the path back to the source
The inner light, the greatest force
And so I thank the One, I thank the Self
The Goddess who helps but herself
So grateful to the Self I stay
For the present of today
Life is a gift we give ourself
Know thyself and love thyself

Is our body a prison for our soul who craves for freedom and liberation?

Is the mind a hindrance to spirituality of ‘no-mind’ consciousness?

Should we let go of our physical selves to attain spiritual growth?

Is our physical existence on the planet a burden for the earth to bear?

Is sexuality something we should reject to attain spiritual growth?

Is vegetarian diet more spiritually positive or ‘sattvik’ than a non veg diet?

Are we guilty of harming someone if we consume other organisms for physical sustenance?

Moral dilemmas of body versus spirit and the physical versus spiritual have been commonly experienced by many of us at some point of our life. Religions and spiritual traditions often preach specific ways of living all different from each other. While it is good to respect every religion and their unique belief systems, it is even better to look within and find what is right for us at any point of time on our spiritual journey.

Many of you might have learnt that physical body is like a cage and we are here to attain freedom or liberation from physical existence, reincarnation and karmic cycles of life and death. Life is all about suffering according to those who believe in somehow escaping this physical world for a better ‘spiritual’ reality. In truth we need to be happy to be alive, there are plenty of things to be grateful for and to enjoy in our physical existence and it is perfectly alright to take incarnation. We are all seeing, breathing, experiencing on behalf of the divine self. Every experience of life is dedicated to the divine self which is our real truth. The divine wishes to have a physical experience through us and therefore our physical life is as much divine as our spiritual existence and as much worthy of celebration provided we are aware that every physical person or thing is all an aspect of our divine self being manifest on earth.

We are spirits who have taken a physical form. Our spiritual body has condensed into a physical form through the power of our thoughts, emotions and actions all collectively being our karma. Through positive thoughts, emotions and behaviors we create a positive physical experience for ourselves. There is absolutely no need to fear physical experience or try to escape it. The purpose of spiritual growth is to manifest our divine perfection on this earth. It’s a magical truth – As Above So Below! It is tempting to escape physical life and dissolve into a spiritual vacuum of ‘liberation’, it is more meaningful however, to project from our divine spiritual state into the worldly plane to heal, improve and perfect our reality until we mirror our divine perfection into our outer world. No matter how perfect and wonderful our inner truth is, it stays neglected just keep it within ourselves and do not allow it to seep into the outer world and create beauty, love and happiness all around. So if you are closing your eyes to meditate please do open them and radiate the power and peace around yourself as well.  That indeed is the way of the wise witch/ wizard.

Meditation is all about going within our-self, from outer to inner reality, from mind to ‘no mind’ state. For a witch or wizard the mind is not something you wish to shut down and leave for a higher ‘no mind’ experience for good. The no mind state of meditation helps you be aware and detached so that you can experience your true self. You can then once again travel into the mental plane so as to create and manifest the universe with the power of your mind and thoughts. The spirit within will give energy to your thoughts, your will, your emotions and your behaviors so that you live a truly spiritual life while remaining in physical form.

In the first stage of your spiritual evolution you will go within, learn the inner truth, meditate and witness your inner divine self. This part of your spiritual journey entails that you detach from the outer physical experiences, mental thoughts, emotions, feelings or desires so that you can be truly still. Asceticism or monkhood with various austerities and self discipline is preferable for this part of your journey. Without this you will continue to be engaged with the outer world and will find no time to go within. You must in this first stage of your spiritual journey be prepared to be ‘the hermit’. You are learning about your own inner self that was neglected during all the centuries of materialism. You are getting enlightened. This is the Meditative part of your journey when you go from outside to inside.

The second stage of your spiritual journey begins after you attain this unity with your inner divine self. From here on you will think divine thoughts, feel divine emotions, your will be one with the divine  will, you are a living incarnate divine being teaching, sharing and enlightening others and at the same time healing, creating and manifesting divinity on earth. This is the Magickal part when you go from inside to outside.

As With-in so With-out… As Above so Below!

Your physical existence is no longer a burden for earth or your-self.

You can be not only aware but also alive fully as a divine being while remaining in physical form on earth, living, breathing and creating the divine will in every moment.

Every experience you have then has a divine meaning to it. You will find meaning in every small flutter of a wing, tweeting of a bird, rustle of a leaf – which is the essence of divination. Messages are found in everything around, not just in the stars, cards or teacups.

Your words are all powerful tools of manifestation, so are your thoughts, emotions and desires. You will choose them all wisely. You are no longer a passive experience gatherer but an active divine creator. You are a healer – your mind directly affects your physical body and all your situations. You can do magick and spells with every breath, every thought, every word and every object.

Your sexuality is nothing to fear. No longer does it take you away from your spiritual path, because you are now allowing your spirit to act and interact with the universe, not just going within but also experiencing the universe as a divine manifestation of the spirit within. As your sexuality is divine you are much more responsible with your sexual self and less interested in polygamous or meaningless relationships and prefer to have a healthy and committed monogamous romance with someone who is compatible energetically. Homosexual or heterosexual, transsexual or transgender, in any way you express your sexuality there is no sin as long as you Harm None including yourself. You may also choose to have one or two healthy off-springs so that you can provide them due attention and love, including adopted children who are treated at par with your biological children. You will love to include animals, plants and crystals in your family and treat them with as much love as your other family members.

You may no longer feel guilty of consuming food as long as you are aware of the sacredness in every object you are consuming. You will see and sense the life force flowing through everything. You soon realize that everything you consume is meaningful and is affecting you and your life. Just like you add ingredients and herbs to your spell for specific effects, your foods also create a constant change, known or unknown to you. While some induce consciousness, some attract abundance and health, others induce lethargy, dullness and harmful addictions. To love yourself in totality and to create health and beauty is a noble and positive purpose fulfilled by what we eat among all other things we do.

There is absolutely no need to feel very guilty if you are non-vegetarian for there are plenty of animals who are purely non-vegetarian such as cats, big or small and it is absolutely a part of nature’s plan to have this type of a healthy balance between herbivores and carnivores. As regards ‘harm’, both plants and animals have feelings and sensations and if killing an animal is an act of harm so is killing or mutilating a plant. However the meaning of harm is better understood with the idea of ‘intention’. As long as your intention was not to cause harm to the plant or animal that you were consuming it is not really a harmful act as far as karma is concerned.

Eating is less about taste and more about whether the food is healthy or unhealthy. To be really healthy food must be cooked as little as possible or preferably eaten raw. Naturally ripe fruits are the best choice while non-vegetarian items being less healthy and difficult to consume as raw could come last on your list. After all most of us as modern humans no longer have those sharp canine teeth or wild hunting instincts as some other creatures of nature do.

Perhaps consuming of ripe fruits is the best of all food habits compared with having leaves, stems, roots or animal meats. Plants give us the fruits naturally as they fall when ripe and this includes many vegetables which are technically fruits. As we consume the ripened pulp we can scatter the seeds or plant them into earth thereby helping propagate the plant. In case your land is not as fertile or wintry and consuming of only fruits and fruity vegetables is not quite easy for everyone, other herbs, plants and animal meats would be the alternative as long as they are fresh and grown, treated and cooked in a healthy manner.

However if you regularly meditate you might find that sattvik foods appeal to you – and you will understand the meaning of sattvik as healthy foods which are natural, pure and fresh organic food items consumed with awareness of their meaning and impact. Adding of too much salts, sugars, flavors, spices is rather unnecessary in a sattvik diet as you will begin to enjoy the original and natural flavors. Spiritual beings are much more sensitive and feel taste much more strongly than those who are engrossed in material existence. The less you think and the more you spend time in inner silence, the more satisfied you will be with your natural and raw fruity diet. You will enjoy raw and fresh food which is coarse or whole and not finely chopped, ground, juiced or mashed. You may add mild salt or sugar and healthy herbs such as sage and rosemary in your food which could be lightly steamed or saute at the most so that the vitamins and minerals in them are not lost due to boiling or cooking. Plenty of plain water will replace your needs for alcohol, caffeine or carbonated beverages.

Life is your ritual. Food is your offering. Your body your temple….You are a Divine God(dess).

Live consciously.

Blessed Be
